Laima Will Invest 3 Million Euro in the Production of New Chocolates

The largest Latvian manufacturer of sweets Laima plans to purchase new equipment for the production of chocolates for more than 3 million euro, informed the chairman of the group of NP Foods Roland Gulbis to BNS.

“We have received the state support for the project “Value-Added Investment” of the European Regional Development Fund program”. There are actually a lot of different equipment and technologies, after debugging which we can finally begin to produce entirely new kinds of products - chocolates. Maybe we will finally enter the 21st century. It will be multi-layered chocolates, we can offer the consumers a lot of what is really new”, he said.

As it was reported on the website of the Public Procurement Monitoring Office, the Danish company Aasted ApS won the tender for the supply of one production line - it will deliver Laima the production line for manufacturing of chocolates for 1.08 million euro.
